This book was very, very good. However (disclaimer), at times, it was hard to read due to the terrible circumstances and situations this girl went through. Oh, and by the way, it's a true story. The writer is anonymous and the names were changed if that shows you the intensity and seriousness of this book.
Go Ask Alice is about a young girl (teenage years) who is trying to fit in. And I suppose, that's what truly starts her downfall. Her obsession and need to fit in leads her to become engulfed in a world of drugs. Throughout this book, the author journals each of her experiences. Her story is an eye-opener. It showcases the horrors of what drugs can do to a person and more. I'd like to tell you in detail, but I wouldn't want to spoil the story for you. This is a great book and I will most likely by re-reading it.
