Photos taken via iPhone (trust me, I know they're terrible :/) First things first, to all you amateur photographers who like to take pictures of just about anything and everything (guilty), never decide to leave your camera at home when going to a concert. Just a word of advice. Okay, now lets get into the topic of this post: The Casting Crowns Concert (featuring Of King & Country and Laura Story). It was so good! The opening act, Of King & Country were so amazing, and totally rocked out (definitely going to go see them again). And Laura Story was also amaze-beans, I really liked her set because it was so simple. It was just her, her guitar and piano, and her voice and I absolutely loved it. My mom especially likes her song "Blessings". And of course, Casting Crowns was spot-on as well. I really enjoyed how after a few songs we would all be seated and the lead singer, Mark Hall (who looks freakily identical to my uncle), would tell a few stories behind the songs, and talk about how God is working through his life. Not only was this encouraging, but it also helped my feet from not falling off (wore some heels... not the best desicion). I went with my church group and I'm sure they enjoyed it as much I did, if not more. I would absolutely recommend going to see them play, if anyone happens to be interested. And since I saw it yesterday and Easter is two days away, it definitely helped to remind me of the true reason behind Easter. Which is Christ dying on the cross to cleanse us of our sins. Speaking of the crucifixion, I recently watched The Passion of the Christ for the first time and it gave me a whole new perspective on what Christ went through to save us. If you haven't seen it, I also recommend that as well (warning: it is quite gory and I did have to cover my eyes a few times because of it) for anyone who is interested in that. So as we go into the Easter season, make sure you know why we're celebrating; because we're saved by the Son of God who laid down his life for us that we may know God and was raised again (how awesome it that)! xx.
